Summary

The Italian DPA has imposed a fine of EUR 5,000 on Barbuti S.p.A. A data subject received a promotional text message for which there was no opt-out option. They sent a request for erasure to the controller's email address, but did not receive an adequate response. Three more promotional messages were then sent to the data subject. The controller stated that they had not implemented adequate measures to comply with data subjects' requests.
