Summary

The Italian DPA has imposed a fine of EUR 5,000 on Dr. Guzzo. The controller is a paediatrician who produced a poster containing information about a paediatric disease for scientific purposes. The controller used a picture of the minor son before the onset of the disease on this poster. The child's parent therefore requested the removal of the picture. Although the controller thought they had anonymised the child, the DPA stated that this was not the case. The controller therefore subsequently requested that the poster be removed from the internet.
