Summary

The Italian DPA has imposed a fine of EUR 5,000 on Framos Italia s.r.l. Following termination of the employment contract, the controller denied the data subject access to their personal work email account, but kept the account active. The controller also failed to adequately respond to the data subject's request to exercise his rights. Furthermore, the controller failed to instruct its IT personnel regarding adequate processing and stored the data for too long.
