Summary

The Spanish DPA has imposed a fine of EUR 4,800 on GIANTS GAMING ESPORTS, S.L. On 6 July 2023, a complaint was filed with the authority concerning a data breach affecting 80,581 individuals. The breach had been reported to the controller on 28 June 2023, but they did not conduct a further investigation into the event. The AEPD found that a file containing email addresses, names, phone numbers, IP addresses, account IDs, areas of residence and sex could be downloaded from the internet without access protection.
