Summary

The Spanish DPA has imposed a fine of EUR 5,000 on DISTRIBUTED ENERGY ASSETS, S.L. After signing a rental agreement for a solar energy system the installation of which was managed by Distributed Energy Assets the installation was cancelled. The data subject then contacted the address given in the contract to exercise their rights to erasure and withdraw consent for processing. However the email could not be sent and the data subject only received an error message stating that the address given in the contract could not be found. During subsequent correspondence the controller did not respond to the AEPD's communications.
