Summary
The Spanish DPA has imposed a fine of EUR 6,000 on TBO WORKING SEGURIDAD, S.L. The complainant had rented a coworking office in the same space as the controller. They alleged that the controller had installed security cameras throughout the premises. They alleged that 400 images of them and their children were taken and then used in divorce proceedings, with the controller's administrator being their former spouse. During its investigation the authority found that the controller had been excessively monitoring employees and using the cameras for control purposes and had not implemented the one-month retention period. The controller was therefore fined EUR 10,000; this fine was reduced to EUR 6,000 due to immediate payment and acknowledgement of responsibility.
