Summary

The Spanish DPA has imposed a fine of EUR 240 on Posada del León de Oro. The controller had installed a surveillance camera which not only captured video but also audio. The recording of the audio was deemed to excessive by the DPA. Additionally the controller failed to adequatly inform data subjects. The original fine of EUR 400 was reduced to EUR 240 due to immediate payment and admission of responsibility by the controller.
